Peer Review and Editorial Decisions

Submissions undergo editorial screening for scope, completeness, scholarly quality, and basic ethical requirements before peer review. Manuscripts that proceed are evaluated under the peer-review model specified by the relevant journal.

• Editors may return or decline manuscripts that are out of scope or not ready for external review.
• Reviewers should have appropriate subject or methodological expertise and should disclose conflicts of interest.
• Editorial decisions consider reviewer reports, manuscript quality, journal scope, research integrity, and the editor's scholarly assessment.
• Review timelines vary with manuscript complexity, reviewer availability, and required revisions; no fixed turnaround is guaranteed.

Research Integrity and Publication Ethics

Authors are responsible for the originality, accuracy, ethical conduct, and proper attribution of submitted work. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and redundant publication may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or other editorial action.

Similarity and Plagiarism Screening

Similarity-detection software may be used as an editorial screening tool. A similarity percentage is not, by itself, a determination of plagiarism. Editors evaluate the location, nature, attribution, and scholarly context of matched text. Unattributed copying, inappropriate reuse, or misleading duplication may require revision or rejection.

Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing

SLSI Press journal content is made freely available online without subscription barriers. Authors retain copyright subject to the publishing and licensing terms displayed on the applicable journal and article record.

Current SLSI Press article records generally use the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license unless a specific journal or article states otherwise. The license displayed on the published article is controlling.

Article Processing Charges

The standard article processing charge (APC) for SLSI Press journal articles is PHP 5,000 per accepted article, unless a journal announcement or formal editorial communication specifies a different arrangement. Authors should verify the applicable charge with the relevant journal before final publication processing.

DOIs and Publication Metadata

Published scholarly articles may be assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), and corresponding metadata is maintained through the journal platform and Crossref deposit workflows. Authors are responsible for supplying accurate names, affiliations, titles, abstracts, references, and other submission metadata.

Corrections, Retractions, and Versioning

When material errors or integrity concerns are identified after publication, SLSI Press and the relevant journal may issue a correction, replacement version, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the nature and seriousness of the problem. Notices should remain linked to the scholarly record whenever technically feasible.

Complaints, Appeals, and Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors should disclose relevant conflicts of interest. Editorial complaints or appeals should be submitted in writing to the relevant journal or SLSI Press, with sufficient detail to permit documented review. Appeals do not guarantee reversal of an editorial decision.
